FAQs

What is Dispatch and how does it work?

AI-powered data analysis at your fingertips.  We’re harnessing the latest in generative AI tech to empower solo GPs and emerging fund managers with an AI assistant that collects, maps and analyzes your data for you.

Simply forward an email that contains information you want to process to your unique Dispatch email address.  In less than a minute, you’ll receive an email with parsed data points contained within the email and attachments.  This email links to the company dashboard where you can validate the data, adding or editing data points as needed. The email body and attachments will be stored and organized in your dashboard.

What technology do you use to process emails?

At a high level, our proprietary model uses OpenAI’s GPT-4 for inference and natural language processing, as well as text extraction and machine learning for categorization.

How is this different from processing my own updates with an off-the-shelf language model?

Unlike standard APIs, our platform is customizable, designed to precisely identify and extract the most relevant data for your business, and present it in a standardized format. This not only streamlines data consumption but also ensures quick access to actionable insights, significantly enhancing decision-making. In essence, we offer a more intelligent, adaptive, and user-centric approach compared to traditional generative model APIs.  With that said, I encourage the use of these models in your daily work, as there are applications that don’t benefit from integration with your data model.

How do you verify the data is accurate?

We think any AI-generated data should be user verified, which is why we’ve built a validation step into the process.  This ensures the completeness and accuracy of your data.

How secure is my data?

The security of our customer’s data is paramount to what we do.  All data is stored in a SOC 2 type II compliant database, and is encrypted at rest and in transit, using industry standard AES 256-bit encryption.  Your data will never be used to train the OpenAI model, and will not be used to train our model without your consent.  For more information, see our privacy policy.

Does Dispatch process attachments, and if so what type of documents do you support?

Yes, it can process PDFs, DOCX, CSV, XLS and XLSX.
